Looking for a fun summer job where you can spend time outside and make a positive impact on your community? From camp counselor to lifeguard, we have something for everyone!
Reed Street Park is an easy walk or bus ride away. Located right off Portage St and next to a grocery store, this park is convenient for an afternoon visit. In this 1.5-acre park you’ll find new playground equipment, a walking path, a picnic shelter with tables, a basketball court, outdoor exercise equipment, and bike racks from park improvements completed in 2019.
In the 1930-1940’s Reed Street Park was a popular gathering space for ice cream socials. The granite boulder located on the southeast corner of the park was dedicated to a Union Civil War Veteran’s organization, the Grand Army of the Republic.
The picnic shelter at Reed Street Park is available to rent. It's a great place for an event with 20-30 guests that doesn't need electricity. The cost is $105 for four hours along with a $50 refundable deposit.
